Terms of use.

These terms are an agreement between you and Little Bean ("Little Bean", "we", "us") covering your use of the Little Bean app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who can use Little Bean

You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child whose data you track. To agree to these terms and to take out a paid subscription, you must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. If you are under 18, you confirm that your own parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf, including responsibility for any subscription payment. You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for everything that happens under your account.

What Little Bean does

Little Bean lets you log and review your baby's feeding, sleep, diapers, and growth, share that record with caregivers you invite, and read general weekly advice content. The app is a tracking and information tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, diagnostic, or emergency services.

Medical disclaimer

The weekly advice and any other content in the app are general information only. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for professional care. Some of this content, including the weekly advice, is produced with the help of automated tools (AI). It is not personalized to your child, may not fit your situation, and can occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your child's health, feeding, sleep, or development, and call your local emergency number in an emergency. You rely on the content at your own discretion.

Your content

The data and photos you enter belong to you. By using the app you give us the limited permission we need to store, process, and display that content so the service can work, including showing it to caregivers you invite. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not sell it. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to enter any information you add, including a caregiver's email address.

Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

Little Bean offers a paid subscription with a 14-day free trial. We offer a monthly and an annual plan. The price is shown in the app at the point of purchase, in your local currency. After the free trial, unless you cancel, the subscription renews automatically and your payment method is charged at the then-current price for each new period.

Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. You manage, cancel, or change your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. If a price changes, the new price is shown to you before it applies and takes effect only on your next renewal.

If we provide a promotional code or free-access grant, it is subject to any conditions attached to it and may be withdrawn if misused.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app: no attempting to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service, no using it unlawfully, and no uploading content that infringes someone else's rights. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

Our intellectual property

The app, the Little Bean name and logo, the design, and the advice content are owned by us and protected by law. These terms do not give you any right to use them beyond using the app as intended.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the app available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you make about your child's health or care based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in The Hague, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
